Who we are
This page is operated by Chaos Theory Entertainment Limited, a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17263314), registered office at 104 Oxford Street, London W1D 1LP, United Kingdom ("we", "us"). We are the data controller for personal data collected through this page.
What we collect and why
When you sign up, we collect your email address only. We use it for one purpose: to notify you when the full version of "The Heart Knows" by KATERINA X is released, and to send closely related news about that release.
We do not collect your name, location, or any other personal information through this form. We do not sell your email address, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Legal basis
We process your email address on the basis of your consent, which you give by submitting the sign-up form. You can withdraw consent at any time by emailing us at the address below, or by using the unsubscribe link in any email we send.
Where your data is stored
Your email address is stored on a secure private server hosted in Malaysia by our hosting provider, who acts as our processor. Access is restricted to authorised personnel at Chaos Theory Entertainment Limited.
This means your data is stored outside the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. We take this seriously: the only personal data involved is your email address, it is held on infrastructure we control, and it is protected by appropriate technical and organisational measures. If we later use a third-party email service to send the release announcement, that provider will act as our processor under a data processing agreement, and this policy will be updated to name them.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you ask us to remove it, or until 12 months after the release campaign ends, whichever comes first. After that it is deleted.
Your rights
Under UK and EU data protection law, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it is inaccurate;
- have it deleted;
- withdraw your consent at any time;
- object to or restrict how we process it;
- receive a copy of it in a portable format.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address below. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk) or to the supervisory authority in your country.
